This site shows snapshots — the official tools give you verified, automatic notification. Everything below is free, takes minutes to set up, and comes straight from government sources.

🔔 Custody-change alerts (VINE / CT-SAVIN)

  1. Go to vinelink.com and choose Connecticut.
  2. Search the person by name or DOC number.
  3. Click "Register to be notified" and enter your phone/email.
  4. Pick a PIN. VINE will call/email/text if custody status changes — including a release.
  5. Keep the PIN: it also connects you to local victim resources when a call comes.

VINE is operated for the State of Connecticut and is the authoritative automated notification. Registration is anonymous and free.

🔎 Official inmate lookup

  1. Open the CT DOC Inmate Information Search.
  2. Search by last name, or by DOC number if you have one.
  3. The result shows current facility and bond/sentence information as published by the state.

⚖️ Court case information

The Connecticut Judicial Branch publishes case lookups for criminal cases on its official website: jud.ct.gov → "Case Lookups". Court dates and dockets are maintained there, not here.

  • CT Office of Victim Services (compensation & advocacy): via portal.ct.gov → search "Office of Victim Services".

If someone is threatening or harassing you after a release, report it to police — do not confront anyone.
